Geocache Description:

Happy Birthday United States Coast Guard

"America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country."

"Semper Paratus" (Always Ready)

This cache is a tribute to the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.  It is placed on the 220th Birthday of the United States Coast Guard, August 4, 2010 and serves as a reminder to the dedication, sacrifices, and strong spirit of yesterday’s, today’s, and tomorrow’s Coast Guard.  It is people like Admiral Thad Allen and Admiral Bob Papp that make the Coast Guard the wonderful organization that it is today.  The sea going warriors of the Coast Guard make sacrifices 24/7 to keep our shores safe from those who want to do harm to the people who live, work, and play here.  Whether it is rescuing fellow civilian sailors, beach goers, and others or patrolling the thousands of miles of the sea shore, the United States Coast Guard is there to protect and save.  They are one of America’s finest .  A sharp and respectable Salute is rendered to each and every member.  Thank you and Happy Birthday!!!

Congratulations to wakejon for the First to Find
