Geocache Description:

A small cache on the Summit Loop Trail.

San Bruno Mountain is home to much wildlife and some endangered species. I have seen a Mission Blue butterfly once and a few times a San Francisco garter snake. The cache will take a little walk to reach but you should get there before you have to do any major climbing, but if you want to keep climbing the Summit offers amazing views of the Pacific, east bay (Mt. Diablo), Marin including Mt. Tam and the Pacific Ocean. To hike the Summit Loop Trail you will cross a few short footbridges. You need to cross them all and then head up the mountain. It is rather small, but I have quite a few trinkets in there and a log book. Please carefully place back as you found it.Also, while there is some poison oak nearby, the cache is away from it. Congrats to Dyknomight for the FTF!
