Point of No Return Traditional Cache

At the north end of Echo Lake is a point that has one of the best views of the lake, and it's a great spot to spend time at in any season. The site is on Newark Watershed property, and a NWCDC permit is needed to hike/boat here. There is also a parcel of private property immediately to the north of this area that is not indicated on some maps.
The cache is a large camo painted screw-top food container containing a log, some cycling/sports accessories, guitar strings, and a hungry alligator. It is hidden in the "belly" of one of the two "behemoths" that are lying side-by-side not far from the point. There is an unmarked trail that leads from the point to about 50 ft. from the cache. There are many briars around the site, but it is not hard to get to. The general location is fairly easy to access from the NWCDC office, or from Gould Road via the Highlands Trail. Some recent beaver activity has flooded a portion of the white blazed trail leading to it from the Highlands Trail, but it is passable if you walk on top of the low dam, and cross the brook on the logs.
