FLAG VIEW ON HIGHWAY 2 GC2CRET
Someone has placed an American Flag, on a median island on Highway
2. It is visible from both lanes of the Highway, but this cache is
only accessible from the NE Bound lanes.
There is a nice pullout on the shoulder just past the flag, but you
can still see it from the cache site.
It is a nice flag and since it is illuminated at night, it flies
24/7. I don't know who placed it here for all of us to enjoy, but I
am glad they did.
Update August 5 "by dreamwvr14 I haven't yet had a chance to find
the cache but I have stopped at this spot before. Living somewhat
nearby, this always intrigued me so not too long ago, I very
carefully went up the hill to the flag location. There's a cool
homemade plaque indicating that this flag was placed here not long
after 9/11 and has since been maintained by unknown keepers."
Cache is a cammo covered plastic peanut jar.Contents are all
Patriotic items to start with, but trades don't have to be.
