Geocache Description:

"Summertime…and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high" by George Gershwin

This is an easy "song" cache inviting you to hum a happy tune as you "lighten up" and enjoy the beauty of summer.

Since the "'livin' is easy," I've tried to make this the easiest cache in State College with the giveaway hint below. The cache overlooks a small wetlands. There's no cotton but the cattails are high. Enjoy the gentle view.

In keeping with the song's second line, the cache is about the size of a small sunfish and contains a log only. There is no room for trade items. Please bring your own pen. You can drive to within two feet of the cache with lots of free parking. Beware of high muggle activity from a nearby fitness center.

The George Gershwin song was composed for the 1935 opera Porky and Bess. It soon became a popular jazz standard. Gershwin is said to have based this song on a popular Ukrainian lullaby.
