Geocache Description:

This relatively easy multicach is avaliable all year long, but it might be difficult to find during winter. Easy walk, with good shoes. No special clothing is necessary. NB: No climbing is necessary if you find the right coordinates!

You need to go a trip on the mountain "Pila" and answer som easy questions to find the coordinates for the cache. The cache can you find at this coordinat:

N 062° 27.XYZ'
E 006° 06.EDX'

It is an regular box containg of course an FTF certificate and an FTF pin!
Do not remove the logbook or pencil!

Some trade items as floating keyholder, decals/selfadhesieve stickers are stored in the box.

I have also added an TB that is keen on visiting mountains/peaks/hills and its greatest dream is to visit Mont Blanc, Matterhorn and even Himalaya! Pictures from various mountain view is highly appreciated!

We used to play at/on this mountain during my childhood - almost no one uses it any more. We went downhill on skies, flying radiocontrolled (remote) aeroplanes with/without motors. Early start of hanggliders in the 1970's! Kites etc.

Stage 1:
You can park at this area or at the aquarium. But I strongly suggest that you park at "Atlanterhavsparken". It will only take you 5-6 minutes extra by foot.
[This position is esential for the search of the final position.]

Stage 2:
Now it starts. keep your eyes open an look for concrete strongholds build by the germans during the second world war.
Number of concrete strongholds from here to stage 3 is "B" in my equation.

This trailhead was actually used for downhill skiing in my childhood.
It is a pitty that so few are visiting this mountain any more. After the houses came less and less people are going out to explore the close by area.

Stage 3:
Looking down on the roads below. How many streetlight(poles) do you see? Number of streetlightpoles is letter "A" in my equiation.
Now you will go to the final known position, On the way/path you will pass a number of larch trees (lerketrær in norwegian). The number of trees ar not the question, but how many clusters of them do you pass? This is letter "C".

From stage 3 to stage 4 you will pass a number of man made stone walls or stone fences(steingard in norwegian). Number of these stone walls is letter "D".

Stage 4:
From this location you will on a clear day see most of the islands surrounding Ålseund, and you will of course see the city it self!
Looking down the valley between the two mountains, how many strongholds, from World War II do you see? This is letter "E".

You will find the cache at the position you will get by the below equation:

N 62° 27.XYZ
E 006° 06.EDX

X= (A+B+C+D+E)
Y=(A+B+C)
Z=(A+B+C+D)

Good luck!
