Geocache Description:

This is one in a series of easy "song" caches inviting you to hum a happy tune as you enjoy the beauty of summer.

"Take me out to the ball game;
Take me out with the crowd;
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don't care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win, it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game."

Did you know that neither of the authors of this 1908 hit song had attended a baseball game prior to writing the song.

The song immortalized "Cracker Jack," the popcorn, peanuts and molasses confection first introduced at the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 and later trademarked after a salesman described its quality by exclaiming "that's cracker jack!"

The cache box is a very small flip top container covered in camouflage tape and hidden between two large rocks at the edge of a small wooded grove. There is room only for the log which is within a film canister in the container. Please bring your own pen. There is no need to go into the woods.

From this area you can see the setting of America's "favorite pastime" in one direction and Mt. Nittany in the other. Depending on events, this can be a very high muggle area which is why I gave it a difficulty 2 rating. Please use stealth.

Access will be impossible when Penn State has a home football game. At other times, you can drive to within a few feet of the cache by entering the North Porter Penn State Parking Lot on Porter Road. A paved road will lead you to a gravel parking area. Look for the woods.

You can also park and walk one-quarter mile from the Centre County-Penn State Visitor Center, 800 E. Park Avenue.

In keeping with the "livin' is easy" theme, the hint below is a giveaway
