Geocache Description:


This is a short multi-cache that takes you around the rather unknown Dronningparken (Queens Park) on the south side of the royal castle in Oslo. For security reasons, the cache is hidden outside of the park, ca 500 meters from the staring point. Happy hunting!!

Denne multicachen viser deg Dronningparken syd for slottet. Parken er en liten perle midt i Oslo og det er mange som ikke har vært her før. Av sikkerhetsmessige årsaker er cachen med loggen gjemt utenfor slottsområdet, ca 500 meter fra utgangspunktet. God tur!!


This is a short multi-cache that takes you around the Dronningparken (Queens Park) on the south side of the royal castle in Oslo. To find the final coordinates of the physical cache, you will have to answer three questions (Stages 1 - 3).
Please note: The park is only open 18. May - 1. October, 07:00 - 20:00 (but the cache itself is outside of the park).

Stage 1: Statue of Queen Maud. There are four numbers on the base of the statue. Calculate the difference between the largest and the smallest number. Answer = X

Stage 2: Wooden pavillion. Count the number of wooden pillars/columns around the pavillion. Answer = Y
Stage 3: Natural pavillion. Which shape does this "pavillion" have? Answer Z = 0 (circular) or 3 (triangular) or 4 (square) or 8 (octagonal).
Final position: The cache can be found at position N59.55.(2*X+Y-Z+5) and E10.(51-Y).(2*X+5*Y-Z+3).

Dette er en kort multicache som tar deg med på en tur rundt i en fin, men lite kjent, park i sentrum av Oslo - Dronningparken. For å finne den fysiske cachen må du svare på tre spørsmål (Steg 1 - 3).
Bemerk: Parken har begrenset åpningstid (men selve cachen ligger utenfor parken): 18. Mai - 1. Oktober, 07:00 - 20:00.

Steg 1: Statue av dronning Maud. Det er fire årstall på støtten til statuen. Regn ut differansen mellom det størst og det minste tallet. Svaret = X

Steg 2: Paviljong. Tell antall støtter rundt paviljongen. Svaret = Y
Steg 3: Naturlig paviljong. Hvilken form har denne "paviljongen"? Svaret Z = 0 (sirkulær) eller 3 (triangel) eller 4 (kvadratisk) eller 8 (åttekantet).
Endelig posisjon: Cachen finnes på posisjon N59.55.(2*X+Y-Z+5) and E10.(51-Y).(2*X+5*Y-Z+3).

Queens Park - Dronningparken


This park is part of the garden around the royal castle, but access is limited during the summer season. This multi-cache takes you on a short walk through this park to show some quiet and nice spots in the heart of Oslo. Formerly, this part of the park was only used by the royal family. It is particularly "royal" with pavillion, a small dam (The kings mirror) and old trees (300+ years)



Dronningparken er en del av slottsparken, men det er kun tilgang i et begrenset tidsrom om sommeren. Denne multicachen tar deg med til et par rolige og fine steder i hjertet av Oslo.
Dronningparken betegner den delen av Slottsparken som ligger bakenfor og sør for Slottet. Dette var lenge kongehusets private del av parken, og den er spesielt forseggjort og "royal", med bl.a. lysthus og dammen Kongespeilet.
