So I mentioned to Nanny Goat that I was going to put out a bunch of caches in Beartown and she sent me this link: http://www.nelsap.org/ma/beartown.html I wasn't thinking of this particular part of Beartown (it's a pretty big forest), but then after seeing the pictures and reading about the history, we had to get up here and point out a couple of spots. We parked at the gate and from there it is a fairly flat walk. The pictures on the NELSAP page only show a single fireplace but there are actually 2 there on the same foundation. It would be really cool to see a picture of what it used to look like... Update - ask and you shall receive...Geopi sent me this great picture of the lodge - notice the chimney!!!
