On top of Elkhorn Peak (9409 ft)
This micro jar is placed on top of Elkhorn Peak. This peak is filled with wonderful vistas. It also provides a nice two-and-a-half hour hike for avid hikers. You reach 9409 ft over about 4 miles. As beautiful as a hike that it is it can be very confusing due to multiple trail intersections. I recomend taking someone with you who has hiked it or using a very detailed trail map. You start just past the neat ghost town of Elkhorn, unless you possess a large off-roading vehicle or other mode of transportation that is rough terrain capable. Then, you have the ability to drive 90% of the way to the top. From the bottom you take Muscrat Cr. trail then the rest is nearly self explanatory. This hike is so beautiful you will be cursing yourself if you don't bring the camera. The last quarter mile or so is filled with large and small rocks so be careful.
THIS HIKE IS NOT AT ALL JUST A WALK IN THE PARK.
