Geocache Description:

The cache is a log only. Please bring a pen!

The Old Sash Mill stands on land that was once the orchard and pasture for Mission Santa Cruz. The main building was constructed in 1906 and was used primarily as a saw, planing and sash mill. The mill was owned and run by John A. Sinkinson and his family. The mill was well known for their redwood burl souvenirs and wooden toy spinning tops. In 1973 the land and run-down buildings were repurposed for mixed-use commercial buildings. Today it is home to a number of local businesses, so muggles can make getting the cache an issue.
