"Sakuragaoka Shrine" founded by Masamune Date who is powerful daimyo in the Tohoku region around Azuchi-Momoyama peiod.
Around this shrine is one of famous spot to see the cherry blossoms in Sendai city.

桜岡大神宮は安土桃山時代の大名 伊達政宗が創建した神社で、この神社の周辺は仙台市の中でも有数の桜の名所として知られています。
周辺は江戸時代の仙台藩有力家臣の邸宅が建ち並ぶところだったようです。
仙台の昔に思いを馳せつつジオキャッシングはいかがでしょうか?
