The cache is located on a ridge which overlooks Vanocker Canyon. From this vantage point you will also be able to see Bear Butte rising in the distance and the rolling prairie beyond. An incredible view!
There is parking near the gate and it is a mostly level & easy .48 mile hike to the cache via a forest service road. The parking/gate coordinates are provided below. Just follow FS road 1702A by foot most of the way. You will only have to leave the road the last 600ft to the cache. I highly recommend this route as described and should not be accessed from the highway unless you enjoy climbing straight uphill through poison ivy. I saw plenty of deer and turkey when placing this cache. Also picked some raspberries along the way too!
You will be looking for a medium camo rubbermaid container.
