Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the landing site of Aerial Twig.

After the rebuild of a neglected motorcycle, Aerial Twig was test riding said bike along a trail in the grass down the pipe reserve beside the road. The trail was created by horses being ridden from the nearby pony club, as such was not clearly defined in some locations.
A moment’s lapse of concentration and the trail was lost, seconds later the front wheel of the bike disappeared into a spoon drain that wasn’t visible. The council had cut the grass flat across this culvert and it looked like the surrounding area.
Aerial Twig took flight (for the first time that evening) and landed some 10 feet away. The bike cartwheeled at least 3 times, one of those hitting Aerial Twig on the way through, leaving skid marks on the side of his helmet.

Needless to say Aerial Twig required some assistance and an Air Ambulance was called. The Pilot of the Air Ambulance, who had over 10 years of flying helicopters in the army, didn’t see the culvert and nearly landed the helicopter in the same location that started it all.

Aerial Twig spent a little time under the care of specialists, however there was no lasting damage and he made a full recovery.

The bike survived, however it never returned to it's former glory, and was returned to service belting around nearby paddocks not long after. It went onto claim another collarbone approximately 12 months later.
This bike can be seen on the road to the cache from the highway.
