Come celebrate the Power of Ten!


When: Sunday, October 10, 2010 (aka 101010), 12:00 PM - ?? - Don't worry about missing the Steeler game, they decided to take the week off (this is their bye week) just so we could host the event and not miss any football. The event schedule will be posted at a later date.

Where: Cecil Park, Route 50, Pavilion #1 - The park is located adjacent to the Montour Trail.

How: The event will be "potluck" style. Please post in your "will attend" what you plan to bring so we don't end up with 50 pounds of beans and nothing else. Also, please post how many in your party. We will be firing up the grill for hotdogs...feel free to bring your own meat to throw on the grill if you do not like hotdogs. Electric outlets are available in the pavilion, so feel free to bring crockpots.

Why: To celebrate the 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year of this century. This event is part of a global multi-event occurring on the same day all around the world.


HAPPY EARTHCACHE DAY! Our local Platinum Level EarthCache Master, Geo Walker, will be giving presentations on how to set up an earthcache throughout the day. The first will be at 12:30, and then an hour after that, and then an hour after that...

We will have a location-specific geocoin, available for purchase for those in attendance. The coin is trackable on GC.com with a unique icon (tracking number is engraved along the edge of the coin), and will be finished in shiny gold with translucent and hard enamels. Actual pictures will be posted when available. Only a limited amount will be available. You can reserve yours in your will attend log. ALL COINS ARE NOW RESERVED...any future requests will be placed on the waitlist.
