This is our first foray into "seeding" some caches for Islanders and visitors. The distance from the first cache in this series to the last is 4.3km. Hike it or bike it!
Small lock n lock. The Trembling Aspen is one of the most widely distributed trees in North America tolerating drought, wind, cold and a variety of soils. It's a pioneer species that grows quickly in areas cleared by fire, logging, or agriculture. It's lifespan is only 50 years, but during that time more hardy trees are able to take advantage of the shelter it offers them.
