Some info on the building:
This first church building of the Potchefstroom Gereformeerde congregation was designed by Rev. Dirk Postma and was complete with the assistance of members of the congregation at a cost of XXX pound in YYYY. The general synod assembled here in 1869 when it was decided to establish its own Theological school at Burgersdorp in 1897. A second and larger church was built in 1922. The “ou kerkie” accommodated the Physics department of the former University College of Potchefstroom.
