The plaza in west exit is the C11 type steam locomotive set up when commemorating it for 100 years in the railway, and is called "SL plaza" in the Shinbashi station.
This SL plaza is very famous because there are a lot of things that the man-in-the-street interview to "Salaryman" is done by the news programming etc. of the television in this plaza.
It is a place in which it is adjacent to the plaza, Rapisuta Shinbashi and the note shop that is the ticket outside the room counter of the cycle race lining a lot, and a lot of "Salaryman".

This C11 292 type steam locomotive was born in Nippon Sharyo Seizo Kaisha, Ltd. on February 11, 1945.
In the birth when goods were lost in the war of the remainder for three years, too, steam stopper and sand stopper are squarish.
It became an assignment soon in the Himeji organization district of San'yo Main Line after it was born though it was a so-called war type, and it ran about a local line, Hantan line, Himeshin line, etc. in the Chugoku region.

The cooperation of Japanese National Railways was gotten in commemoration of 100 years in the railway, and it set it up here this time.
It is commemoration Minato Ward in 100 years in the railway, October 14, 1972.
