Geocache Description:

I was taking my daughter to her art class and was inspired to do a series dedicated to my favorite artists. I hope you enjoy the 11 caches in this series.

Maurits Cornelis Escher (17 June 1898 – 27 March 1972), usually referred to as M. C. Escher was a Dutch graphic artist. He is known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. These feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture, and tessellations.

Many fans of his style marvel at how his works tend to defy the human eye. Water that seems to continually flow upward or downward (depending upon how you look at it). Lizards that come out of the page then crawl back into it again. Birds that fly to the left morph into creatures that fly to the right. Most of us have owned at least one of his posters during our youth.

The cache is small, so bring your own writing instrument.
