The Powers of Ten worldwide Multi-Event
We are hosting a 10-10-10 Multi Event in the Central Oregon Area. Perhaps some of you have heard of these. We know for cettain there was one for 8-8-08 and 9-9-09, and coming up is 10-10-10. This is a Worldwide Multi Event with just under 30 States participating, and who knows how many countries. To our knowledge, there has not been one of these events in the State of Oregon, and since this is the Birthplace of Geocaching, we thought it appropriate - plus we need a get-together to yack about our most recent adventures and meet new cachers.
The format will be a meet-N-Greet at Izzy's - All you can eat buffet. Hopefully they'll cut us a break! Parking shouldn't be a problem there. We are having an Event Geocoin made, specifically for Oregon. It will be availble to those present at a cost of $10.00. We'll post a photo when coin is in hand, but it will be pretty close to event day, we would think.
The timing is a bit unfortunate because it is Deer Hunting Season (Rifle), so the event will be at 1:00 p.m. so hunters can grab a bite to eat and get back out to hunting camp.
