Geocache Description:

Return to Sender.

As I put together the “Communi-K8” cache (GC2B3Z2) I had a couple of old communications songs rattling about in the vast caverns of my mind. So I thought why not continue the communications theme and do a little series to share some of those old songs with my fellow cachers.

Having hung up the telephone and posted a letter, this next earworm takes us on another aspect of the postal service.

"Return to Sender" was a 1962 rock and roll hit for Elvis Presley.

I gave a letter to the postman,
he put it his sack.
Bright in early next morning,
he brought my letter back.

She wrote upon it:
Return to sender, address unknown.
No such number, no such zone.
We had a quarrel, a lover's spat
I write I'm sorry but my letter keeps coming back.

So then I dropped it in the mailbox
And sent it special D.
Bright in early next morning it came right back to me.
She wrote upon it:
Return to sender, address unknown.
No such number, no such zone.

This time I'm gonna take it myself
and put it right in her hand.
And if it comes back the very next day
then I'll understand the writing on it

Return to sender, address unknown.
No such person, no such zone.

On January 8, 1993, the U.S. Postal Service issued a commemorative postage stamp honoring Elvis Presley. Many stamp collectors mailed envelopes, franked with this stamp, to ficticious addresses in the hopes that they would receive their letters not only postmarked with the first day of issue, but also with a "return to sender" postal marking.

Now on to the cache! Not surprisingly the first waypoint for this cache is located at a post box at the above location.
Once there you will need to locate a grid and match it to the one below, to find the required portion of the co-ordinates, that will lead you to the cache.
