This is one of three caches place on the lesser used route around the Easter Arm of the Lily Ponds.
The cache is a small plastic container with a log and a few small swaps.
There are three ways to get to this cache all of which involve a bit of a walk but believe me it is well worth it.
Route 1 – Approach from Pembroke on the B4319 and head towards Bosherston Village. Go past St Petrox and around a very sharp left hand bend and down a steepish hill (Cow Shed Hill) through and avenue of trees at the bottom of the road is a turning to the left which you take for approximately half a mile and you will come to a turning on the Right which takes you over a bridge (One Arch Bridge) and up to a rough parking area. From here you can get to the Lily Ponds either across what would have been the Gardens of the big house OR below the gardens, there is a footpath.
Route 2 – Park at Stackpole Quay and instead of the usual route to Barafundle take the permissive path across the farm land to Eight Arch Bridge.
Please if you have a dog be a responsible owner and keep it on the lead going over the farm land as there is livestock in the fields most of the time and the path is only open with the permission and good will of the farmer.
Route 3 – Head for Bosherston Village and park in the National Trust Car Park where you can get loads of useful information and leaflets on the Lily Ponds and start your walk from there.
Of course you can combine all of these locations with a wonderful circular walk that takes in Coastal Views, Woodland Views and of course the wonderful Lily Ponds. The whole circular route is about 8 miles but you could not wish for a more beautiful or diverse walk with a combination of everything.
