Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the woods adjacent to the railroad tracks (now defunct) but is not on the railroad right of way. Easy terrain and very close to the river.

The area is a common area for hikers and dog walkers. Easy access to the Allegheny River so bring your rod too. Walking along the access road to Lock 3 on the Allegheny River will get you close enough.

Be sure to park off to the left and not block the yellow gate as it is used by the lock workers.

This railway used to run between Verona and New Kensington for industrial use but is no longer functional.
