This cache is at a lovely picnic spot at the Keith Hateley nature walk. There is a wonderful 1km self guided loop walk that will take you through remnant vegetation and past an old mallee fowl nest.
Cache is in a magnetic key container.. although the magnet isnt needed.. it was just a nice thin container that sat nicely where I wanted to put it.
But now I must add a warning... Watch out for snakes if you go on the walk! I've walked this track many, many times over the years and never seen a snake, then again I usually only visit on cooler days. Last month (Nov-2015) it was very warm and sunny but I decided to walk anyway. Only went a short way and, was still in sight of the picnic shelter when a brown snake had a couple of strikes at me from grass at the edge of the track. I guess the moral of the story could be,' keep your eyes open', 'wear rubber boots', 'only walk on cool days', 'don't go on the walk at all', etc. etc... I'll let you decide. ;-)
