A small traditional cache on the way to the Rainbow Ski Area.
This cache is placed near where you will stop if you are not carrying chains on your way to Rainbow Ski Area.
Lil' Stu turned 10 on 10th August 2010, so for his birthday he wanted to go skiing, so off we went. His second time, Mr Biggles 2nd time and Mrs Biggles 1st time. And Jarzoo came too.
Much fun was had by one and all and so I decided to leave a cache behind for any other cachers keen on skiing in the area.
Rainbow Ski Area is situated at the top of the South Island of New Zealand just off highway 63. It is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Nelson airport, 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Blenhiem, 1 hour 40 minutes from Picton and 1 hour 20 minutes drive from Murchison.
Original cache was a 1l Sistema container, replacement cache is a 200ml container with log, pencil, eraser, sharpener and room for a few small swaps.
Update 28/8/12 - Cache replaced and all good to go.
