Friends of history and geocaching who travel the Old National Pike in LaVale, Md. are drawn to a lovely old roadside attraction that claims to be the only surviving tollhouse in Maryland. Au Contraire!

Brents Chance
Don't voice that claim in Hancock, for history buffs there will quickly point you to Brents Chance on the Pike a mile west of town.

The Hancock Historical Society is proud, and rightly so, of the restored tollhouse. More information about the tollhouse and tours can be found HERE
