Geocache Description:

"Shining by the Sea" is part of a famous song about "Ramsey Town" which many Manx people will know and is still sang throughout the schools on the Island. The song describes Ramsey as being what it is. Free parking is available at Ramsey Hairpin.

The cache is a small clear clip, lock and seal box which is big enough for the log and pencil (which is already in the cache), small swaps, geocoins and travels bugs. The cache origanilly contained a few small swaps, a geocoin and my "Freddie the Frog" geocoin where you can take and place in other caches around the Island only please. The cache is placed at this location so people can enjoy and appreciate the beautifull view of Ramsey, overlooking the beach and the town itself. The route to the cache is through woodland so wellies may be needed as it it may be muddy or wet. The walk towards the cache is fairly easy with few slight steep woodland on the way.
