Geocache Description:

The log is hidden in a hollow bolt that is magnetically attached to part of a fence. You can see Quarry Lakes Recreational Park from this location.

Park at the Dry Creek Staging area at the end of May Road (follow Whipple Rd) in Union city. Hike along Old Ranch Trail 1.1 miles or High Ridge Loop Trail (steeper but shorter). Look for a gate along the barb wire fence. On the left end of the gate post you will see a 2 inch long 1/2-16 bolt and nut that is attached with a magnet to the structure. Its sticking out in plain view and looks like its bolted to the fence. Just pull it off and untwist the nut from the bolt. The tiny log is inside. Take a pencil and tweezers. Be sure to tighten the nut securely when putting it back.
