Geocache Description:


Keš vás zavede k altánku v Jáchymovských lázeňských lesích, na místo zvané Dívčí skok, které je opředené starou pověstí.

Místo:
Altán se nachází na skále, kde ještě před založením Jáchymova stával hrádek Braunstein, který sloužil k ochraně hranic. Existuje ale pověst, že Braunstein byl skvostně nádherný zámek, kde začarovaná dívka stále hlídá nesmírný poklad. Když; ještě nebyl svah nad dnešní silnicí zalesněný, byl odsud dobrý rozhled do údolí a tedy dobrá pozice pro kontrolu cesty k hranici. Nyní je skála, na které altán stojí obrostlá stromy, a tak bohužel nenabízí skoro žádný rozhled.
Altán zde byl postaven pravděpodobně hned jak se začala rozvíjet v Jáchymově lázeňská turistika. V té době z něj ještě byly pěkné rozhledy do kraje. Postupem času ale altán chátral a stromy výhled uzavřely. Až v posledních letech ho lázně znovuobjevili a udělali novou střechu, okolí skály ale zůstalo zarostlé a výhled se neobnovil.
K místu se váže pověst o dívce, která zde z nešťastné lásky k dělníkovi ze stavby železnice Ostrov - Jáchymov v roce 1896 spáchala skokem ze skály sebevraždu. Další zdroj říká, že dívka jménem Anna Held tady byla dokonce zastřelena železničním dělníkem Franzem Wolfem a byla jeho nevěsta. Těžko říct..

Přístup:
Ke keši vedou dvě cesty, které dohromady tvoří značený žlutý lázeňský okruh (žluté kolečko na stromech), takže se nedá zabloudit.
Širší cesta vede ze Smetanovy ulice, je to víceméně po rovině, nic náročného (cca 600 m). Tuto cestu využijte, pokud nebudete mít auto. Zpátky můžete jít stejnou cestou nebo pokračovat po okruhu a vyjdete o ulici výš u hotelu Panorama. Tam je příjemná hospůdka :).
Pokud pojedete autem, je nejlepší zaparkovat na doporučeném parkovišti u hotelu Panorama (viz Additional Waypoints) a ke keši dojít horní cestou. Zpátky můžete jít stejnou cestou nebo pokračovat po okruhu a vyjdete ve Smetanově ulici, která je o ulici níž, než máte auto.
Nespojujte tuto keš s keší Na stare trati, dělí je převýšení 70 metrů, strmý svah, skála a hustě vysázený les!

This cache brings you to the arbour in Jáchymov spa forest, to a fabulous place called Dívčí skok (in English: "Girl's jump").

The place:
The arbour is situated on a rock, where before Jáchymov was founded used to be a castle called Braunstein, which served to protect the way to the border. There had been good view when the hill above today's road wasn't forested, so they had good information about way to the border under them. Today is around the rock where is the arbour many trees, so there isn't good view. The arbour was probably built when the spa tourism in Jáchymov started.
In that age there was still a good view from that place, but a years ago, trees grown up and arbour fell into disrepair. In recent years Spa Jáchymov repaired the arbour, but the trees are still too high and view isn't good...
There is a legend about a girl, which of unrequited love to a worker who was building the railroad from Ostrov to Jáchymov in 1896 jumped from this rock. Because of that is the name of this place, too. Another source says that girl called Anna Held was there shot by worker Franz Wolf and she was his bride...

How to get there:
There are two paths leading to the cache, which together form a marked yellow spa circuit (yellow circles on trees), so it is impossible to get lost.
The wider path leads from Smetanova street, is more or less flat, and is not difficult (approx. 600 m). Use this path if you do not have a car. You can return the same way or continue along the circuit and end up one street higher at the Panorama Hotel. There is a nice pub :).
If you are traveling by car, it is best to park in the recommended parking lot at the Panorama Hotel (see Additional Waypoints) and walk to the cache via the upper path. You can return the same way or continue along the circuit and exit on Smetanova street, which is one street below where your car is parked.
Do not try to combine this cache with cache Na stare trati, between them is an elevation of 70 metres, steep slope, rock and dense forest!
Beware of unexpected coming muggles.
