Oak Park: Ralston Park Series Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Darick: Tree where this one has been hidden for years blew down in the storms. Hate to archive such an old one, but I think it is time...

Geocache Description:

This hide is placed in Oak Park, the first in a series of Ralston park caches I have planned. The cache is an 850 foot stroll through the park from the parking lot (N 41°12.337 W 96°02.225) or 475 feet from street parking (N 41°12.425 W 96°01.993). The park is closed from 10pm to 6am.

The cache is a lock-n-lock container with room for trades, travel bugs and coins. During the warmer months, the cache hiding place can be quite overgrown, including the dreaded stinging nettles, so long pants are recommended. The mosquitos will be happy to see you as well. As with any cache, please use stealth when necessary and rehide the container well (use some barkouflage).

In addition to the usual log, writing tool, and trinkets, the cache also originally contains a First To Find prize. It is a customized trackable dog tag featuring a photo I took at the entrance to the park. The activation code is included, so you can activate it and send it out as your own trackable.
