We have had a cache in these woods for a while, right at the
spot where we met the local Bunyip. You can read his story on the
"Bunyip Woods" cache nearby. But even though we knew he had a
Sasquatch friend in these woods, we hadn't actually seen the Big
Foot!
Until today!!!!!
We were here hiking around and looking for Bunyip when there he
was, Sasquatch! He was hiding in the trees on the side of the
trail. We tried to call out to him, ask if he has seen Bunyip, but
he took off at a run down the hill. Oh well, maybe next time he
will talk to us. Maybe if you see him you might have some more
luck.
We have hidden the cache in the exact spot where we saw him. It
is an Ammo Can, and it is full of fun goodies (at least right now).
There are also 2 trackables, one of which is brand new and heading
out on its journey.
You shouldn't have to do any bushwhacking, so if you end up
heading off trail you are going the wrong way. The cache is only a
yard or so off the side of the trail. There are lots of nettles
around, but I hid it in one of the few nettle free spots I could
find. GPS signal is pretty spotty under here, so hopefully it is
close enough. Please make sure to hide it well so it isn't seen by
the muggles, or Sasquatch for that matter. Who knows what he would
do with the cache!
