This cache is located at the end of the Phi Kappa trail near some old mining cabins. There is a road that goes about half way up (Phi Kappa Mine) but then turns into a ATV, horse or hiking trail. Altitude is 8908 feet.
This is one of our most favorite trails to ride. There is always abundant wildlife to be seen if you go early in the morning or late in the evening. The trail ends into a meadow where it looks like a mine once was and cabins are built. Have fun and be safe!
