Today, Cranfield Airport is used extensively by flight training organisations, of which there are many who operate out of the nearby field. Additionally, small business aircraft and private jets make use of the facilities, as well as helicopters.
If the weather is excellent and If you are into aviation, make sure you take a pair of binoculars, a picnic blanket, flask etc and enjoy your very own overhead air display.
