Within the bounds of the city park, yet within the range of a wide variety of wildlife, you'll find our cache. Keep your eyes peeled, and you may see a falcon or even a bobcat!
In the spirit of sharing the great little secrets inside the big city, I figured I'd share my favorite park in Plano. You can visit this cache with your mountain bike if it hasn't been raining too much.
Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. Rumor has it that a bobcat lives in the park. We saw several types of lizard while placing the cache, and a falcon kept a very close eye on us while we added the coordinates to the logbook and container.
*****NOTE*****
If you drive through a gate, be sure to note park hours. If you access the site on foot, please respect park operating hours. Now that the rains have come the foliage around this cache has made it much more fun to find. Try not to trample, mangle or break anything on your way in. It *is* possible.
****CAUTION****
Be sure to thump any rocks prior to reaching under them to avoid surprising any venomous inhabitants.
The cache is a Rubbermaid container, sufficiently large to hold a VHS tape. We started things off with a Playstation game, several trinkets and a flea collar. Our dog had a great time helping us place this one.
