The name says it all! This is a cache hidden near our favorite movie theater, and it is devoted to movies (DVDs, BLU-rays, etc). There are three movie theaters in Battle Creek and this one is the best - clean, comfortable, nice staff, reasonable prices, good popcorn, it's got it all! Make sure you get a Frequent Moviegoer card as it will earn you free snacks, and shows between 4 - 6 PM are discounted.
The cache container is a regular ammo box. I gave it a 1.5 for terrain and difficulty because, number one, you will have to be stealthy (there are obviously lots of Muggles near a movie theater), and number two, it is FULL of mosquitoes. Number three, I am not sure what poison ivy looks like, so while I am pretty sure it is not near any, I cannot guarantee it. Number four, it is pretty dense cover, so your GPS may have a hard time getting an accurate reading. Otherwise, it ought to be a pretty easy find! UPDATE: I was informed by the FTF cacher, TOOTENTOT, that there is defintely poison ivy in this area. My daughter and I are both allergic and neither of us got it when we placed the cache, so hopefully you will be lucky, too, but just keep this in mind.
My husband and I are big movie buffs and our kids are turning out the same way, and movie night is something that we all enjoy. We thought it would be fun to have a cache for trading movies! We would REALLY like to keep this one as a movie-only cache, so please only take one if you have one to leave in its place - otherwise, you are welcome to just sign the logbook. We started out the cache with a variety of brand-new DVDs, but used ones are welcome as long as they are in good, playable condition. FYI, the dollar store has a large and wierd assortment of DVDs for sale (for $1 each, obviously), so that may be a good place to go before you head to this one. Also, please, nothing obscene or gory - keep in mind that lots of kids go 'caching. Have fun!
