Cache to Eagle-Treasure Box This cache is only available when the building is open. Most weeks this is 8:30am to 5pm. Subtract .018 from North and .013 from West coordinates obtained while finding the caches in this series to find the "key" to the treasure chest. Congratulations to the first five who have finished the series: Daveydude, Freedom Queen, BIGGIEET AL, Jackherr, and The Lost Patrol. ***Those who visit the caches after May 1, 2021 will have the new coordinates.
This cache is part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the Boy Scouts of America. In honor of the anniversary, "cache2eagle" geocaching events have been placed across the USA. To learn more about the project, visit the "cache2eagle" webpage at geoscouting.com: http://www.geoscouting.com/cache2eagle.html In order to open the Treasure Box, the cacher must visit 6 of the 12 Big Pine District's "cache to eagle" caches. Each cache has a scout law point assigned to it along with a code word. When all 12 of the caches have been visited, e-mail the answers to npolsen@gmail.com. The first 5 people to email will receive a "cache to eagle" patch. To find the key to open the box, 6 of the caches need to be found. Either cache #1 or #7; either cache #2 or #8, either #3 or #9, either #4 or #10, either #5 or #11, and lastly either #6 or #12. You can choose which of the pair of caches you would like to find. The GC codes for the caches: 1. GC2EV00 or 7. GC2EEVH 2. GC2E12Y or 8. GC2EMDA 3. GC2EV5E or 9. GC2EXW0 4. GC2EG8X or 10. GC2ETYD 5. GC2EV4X or 11. GC2EKCM 6. GC2EKDV or 12.
