Geocache Description:


Not that long ago this area belonged to the Wirtz Family. They farmed the area and raised livestock here, but as you can see it has changed quite a bit. From the stories that I have heard, the Wirtz family owned much of the city and all of the land around here as far as the eye could see.
We moved into the area when the road made an S curve right in front of this location and it was a common sight and occurrence to see that the Wirtz's cows had gotten loose and were on the road. The Police had to make almost weekly trips to the area to help herd up the cows.
