Geocache Description:

This cache will require a 1/4-1/2 mile walk, run, or bike. You will want to start at either the park off of Railroad, or the ballpark off of 1st Street. Take the paved bike path towards the cache. You'll have to move off the trail to find it.

So the story goes...we were out walking the dogs and taking our relatives from Chicago on their first geocaching adventure. I took this rag-tag band down a dirt trail to where I used to swing out over the river 14 years ago. Along the trail we passed a blanket and Uncle Roach suggested that someone spent the night there, to which cousin Jordan implied they must be some Hippie. Then up ahead we see a grown man swimming in the river and of course the HIppie story grew stronger. By the time we found a good location for our first cache ever, the Hippie name stuck!

This cache was placed by Coloradoans Chad, Lukas, and Ashley; Chicagoans Roach, Jordan, and Zac, and our four-legged friends Libby and Alex.

Congrats to jambohabari for FTF! Because the location moved...I'm going to award a second FTF!
