Geocache Description:

Death By Thule is a series of 5 caches that takes you around Thule on the most bloody track, where somebody died. The cache description might tell you when, how and why. I've made these caches because of the many rumours at Thule A B. of people who died, and how they died. Anyway the stories behind these Death by Thule caches are true.

Death by Thule IV - Gone With the Wind
Previously the houses at Thule were mainly connected by ropes which functioned as guidelines when moving from one building to another. These ropes where especially a great help during sever weather conditions.
By the foot of the Dundas mountain the Nike launch battery was placed. During a storm in 1955 a person was using the ropes to move from one building to another, but before getting there the wind overpowered his grip in the rope. The following search after him didn't succeed.
The same thing happened in 1957, though this time the person was found in a ditch 50 meters away clearly dead by frost-bite.
