We would like to thank Rambo3 for the nano and Chet&Jane for teaching us how nano's should be hidden in the woods.
This is our version of the 10 year anniversary celebration. The Kootenay Pirates hid an almost perfect 10. Well, we opted for the much simpler Roman Numeral 10, yes an X - thus X marks the spot for the five stand alone caches. Enjoy the leisurely walk around this decommisioned park. All caches can be gotten by following old trails or roads.
From the parking coords, follow the main trail (used to be a road) southerly, until your GPS tells you to head westerly. An orange ribbon also shows when to leave the trail, but some people might not give a rats ass.
There is a guardian of the cache, but he does not bite, just looks scary. Please be gentle with him and not pull on him very hard -- or we can't be responsible for bites then. Please do not release the guardian, and have him stand guard again!
The difficulty rating is mainly a reflection of the heavy tree canopy, so use your geo-senses and think like a guard.
Bring your writing tool, as this is a nano. Have fun with it.
