Geocache Description:

Along Highway3, just west of Salmo, B.C.

Take the well defined path, even though you are going away from the cache for a short time, it is the easiest. Yes we know some of you will take the more difficult way to get there but you can only lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink if he doesn't want to.

This is our version of the 10 year anniversary celebration. The Kootenay Pirates hid an almost perfect 10. Well, we opted for the much simpler Roman Numeral 10, yes an X - thus X marks the spot for the five stand alone caches. Enjoy the leisurely walk around this decommisioned park. All caches can be gotten by following old trails or roads.

Once you find the hide PLEASE PLEASE be very careful removing the micro. DO NOT REMOVE THE CAMOFLAGE. Dyelo has spent many hours using one of these tools in the past, now the job is Pappy's. There is a log book but no writing instrument so please remember to bring one.

The name for this cache comes from the fact that this is a decomissioned park, with the paved roads removed, trails grown over in places, picnic tables and out houses removed, and no maintenance carried on -- all mopped up you might say!
