The Power of Ten!
The HISTORY:

We will meet from 5:00pm until 7pm Sunday, October
10, 2010 (aka 101010).
We will meet in Holt, I
believe the park is part of the Black Water State Park
system. From Hwy 90 turn N onto Summertime Dr. When you
get to the Fork in the road stay to the Left. The park will
be on your right. You shouldn't have any problems finding
it. There is a $2 parking fee. The park is open from
7AM until 7PM. There are no pets allowed and for those of you
planning on bringing your horses, they are not allowed either,
sorry. There is a pavillion in case the weather is not
so nice to us. There is running water at the pavillion
and bbq grills there also if you plan on making a day of it.
There is a dock with a roped off swimming area if you
want to bring the kids and have sum fun, but please remember
that there are no lifeguards on duty, so swimming will be at your
own risk.
This will be a pot luck event, so please
bring something to share. Please mention what you plan on
bringing in your "Will Attend" log. As we get more ideas for
the event they will be posted here, so make sure you add this to
you watch list so you can stay updated with the newest
information.
We will be meeting to
celebrate the 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year of this
century. This event is part of a global multi-event occurring on
the same day all around the world.
We will have a location-specific geocoin, available
for purcase for those in attendance. The coin is trackable on
GC.com with a unique icon (tracking number is engraved along the
edge of the coin), and will be finished in antique copper with
translucent and hard enamels, with glitter on both sides.
Actual pictures will be posted when available. Only a limited
amount will be available. Please contact Gelugon to
reserve your coins.
