Geocache Description:

MinatoPIA

"MinatoPIA" is a name of the Niigata-shi history Museum. Niigata-shi was able to advance by maintenance of 1 as "the history / the culture zone" that expressed "port town / Niigata" in an area around "the former Niigata customs Government building" that was the important cultural property of the country. Niigata-shi removed and reconstructed "the old Daishi Bank Sumiyoshicho branch" of the landmark architecture which there was in the city in a site and was restored to the original state. Cache set it up near this "MinatoPIA". Please bring a pen with you.

「みなとぴあ」は、新潟市歴史博物館の名称です。
新潟市が国の重要文化財である「旧新潟税関庁舎」を中心としたエリアを、
"港町・新潟"を表現する「歴史・文化ゾーン」として一体的な整備を進めていたもので、
市街にあった歴史的建造物の「旧第四銀行住吉町支店」も敷地内に移築・復元されています。
キャッシュは「みなとぴあ」の近くに設置しました。
ペンを持参してくだあい。
