Amis géocacheurs, randonneurs ou vététistes, la cache que je vous propose vous emmène au lac du clou.
Ce lac n’est pas un lac comme les autres car il est recouvert de végétation. Celle-ci couvre le lac petit à petit et le fera disparaître.
Le clou du spectacle est cette végétation constituée de plusieurs espèces :
- Le trèfle d’eau avec ses grandes fleurs blanches rosées en début de saison (autrefois utilisées en médecine pour lutter contre la malaria)
- La laiche (ou carex) a la tige pleine à section triangulaire formant une sorte de pelouse
- La sphaigne qui forme d’épais coussins et dont la structure spongieuse est capable d’emmagasiner jusqu'à 20 fois son poids en eau.

Accès à la cache par le sentier depuis les maisonnettes (3h30 A/R) :
Depuis Beaufort ou Arêches (cf cache « Arêches toi d’là »), monter en voiture jusqu’au hameau des Maisonnettes puis laisser votre véhicule au WP1. A pied, prendre la piste qui monte, puis sur la gauche empruntez le sentier balisé jaune jusqu’au lac.
Accès à la cache par la piste forestière de Plan Villard (2h A/R) :
Depuis Beaufort ou Arêches, monter en voiture jusqu’au hameau des Choseaux puis continuer environ 400 m jusqu'à un lacet ou vous pourrez laisser votre véhicule. A pied, prendre la piste qui serpente dans les pâturages puis dans une forêt d’épicéas jusqu’au lac.
N'oubliez pas de mettre une bonne paire de chaussures et d'emporter à boire.
Attention, la cache n'est pas accessible par temps de neige.

Géocacheurs friends, walkers or mountain bike, which I propose you takes you to the lac du clou. This lake is not a lake as the others because it is covered with vegetation. This one covers the lake little by little and will remove it.
The nail of the show is this vegetation constituted by several sorts:
- The clover of water with its big pinkish white flowers in the beginning of season (formerly used in medicine to fight against the malaria)
- The laiche (or carex) has the stalk full of triangular section training a kind of lawn
- The sphaigne which forms thick pillows and of which the spongy structure is capable of storing until 20 times its weight in water.

Access to the cache by the path since huts (3:30 am A/R):
Since Beaufort or Arêches (cf cache " Arêches toi d’là ", GC2DBHB), rise by car up to the hamlet of home may leave your vehicle with the WP1. On foot, take the track which rises, then on the left take the yellow marked out path up to the lake.
Access to the cache by the forest track of Plan Villard (2 hours A/R):
Since Beaufort or Arêches, to go up by car up to the hamlet of Choseaux then to continue approximately 400 m up to a lace or you can leave your vehicle. On foot, take the track which winds in pastures then in forest of spruces up to the lake.
Do not forget to put a good pair of shoes and to take to drink.
Attention, the cache is not accessible by weather of snow.
