Canberra to Cooma Cache Trail – Scottsdale
Reserve
This series is being placed to while away the tedium of the drive
to Cooma – or, indeed, the drive to Canberra and will
supplement the existing caches in the area.
Located 45 minutes south of Canberra, Scottsdale Reserve is a
property of 1328 hectares, protecting endangered grassy box gum
woodlands which provides a habitat to many rare birds and reptiles
along with threatened springs, bogs and temperate grasslands.
Scottsdale Reserve has one of the last intact ecosystems on the
Murrumbidgee River. For further information on Scottsdale
Reserve visit the Bush Heritage site here.
This cache is best accessed on the northern run to
Canberra.
Good luck, and we hope you enjoy this
series of geocaches on the road to
Cooma.
