Fredericton Region Geocachers have adopted a Highway!!!
In an effort to keep our region clean, Fredericton Region Geocachers have commited to doing our part! We have chosen a small piece of highway and will commit to a bi-annual cleanup event.
So roll up your sleeves and join in on the fun!
Where: Start at the Fredericton airport and continue towards Oromocto (on Rte 102) ending where Rte 655 meets the 102. For a total of 3Km.
When: Saturday, September 18, 2010. starting at 11:00 AM
What: Garbage bags will be supplied. If you wish to use gloves, bring your own.
Why: Because as outdoors enthuisiasts and users of our city's many parks and trails, we feel that we need to do out part.
This CITO event will be one of many fun events during this weekend! Hope to see you all there!
It is recommended that people carpool to the location if possible as parking will be limited.
Please note that for safety reasons, participants must be 12 years old or older.
Just a note for those who are planing to attend this event. For safety reasons (we will be working near a highway), it is recommended that you wear hunter orange or safety vests if possible (hats, vests, etc).
