This cache falls
within two loops. Please go to the appropriate section relevant to
the order in which you are seeking this cache.
Anna's Lane
Loop No1
This loop is a short
country walk/cycle, done in around an hour or so, through some
quiet rural roads and footpaths. It can either be walked or cycled.
I would recommend parking at the waypoint below, then you should
make your way across the playing fields, out onto the main Andreas
road. Turn right along this road, then at the roundabout go left,
out towards the sea. After a short period, you will see a footpath
sign on your left - the cache is just up here.
My maternal ancestors came
from Andreas, and my great-aunt has always called this path 'Anna's
Lane'. So, regardless of whoever may live here now, this loop is,
and forever will be, Anna's!
Thurot Cottage Loop
No4
From no3, keep to the Andreas road (also
known as the Burma road), passing one footpath to your right, then
encountering another. It's up this footpath where you need to
search. There are usually a great number of bunnies running around
along here - lets hope they haven't nibbled the
cache!
This is the last cache in the Thurot
Cottage Loop - to return to the playing fields it is a simple
matter of returning to the road and continuing along the way you
were headed, which would take you back to the Andreas roundabout.
You could, however, continue down this footpath, and in doing so
would also complete my Anna's Lane Loop, at the additional cost of
around 45 minutes walking/20 mins cycling.
Please note: This cache
has already been interfered with by muggles - please replace cache
very well. Replaced Contents: Orange highlighter, bouncy ball, toy
snake, plastic fencing and logbook+pencil. The cache is a medium
snap-lock box with some duct tape around it and an 'official
geocache' sticker (to ward off muggles)..
