Decided to put this one here, on the way to the Gale River Washed Away cache, because we felt it was too far to travel on the road for just one cache!
Easy to get confused with the entry point for this one. At first we came across a gated road that would have left us with more than a mile hike in (according to our GPS). Nothing wrong with that except we were looking for quite a few more today as well. Then, driving on, we came across another entrance entitled Gale River Trail Road, with coords of N44 14.653, W71 38.023, and chancing that road it took us to the original cache, driving right up to it. But, as stated above, we felt it was a long way in for just one cache, so left BEHOLD (inside joke) on the way back out! It's an easy one.
Terrain rating of 1 1/2 due to rough stone/dirt road, though it is wide and easy to navigate in vehicle.
Not being campers ourselves, we were pleasantly surprised to see all the sites available in the White Mountain National Forest along this trail. Later in the day we rode along the trail to the Zealand Hut looking for Hoxie Brook cache and saw so many more. Sure looked like great areas for camping!
