open road seemed the perfect place for our 100 Caches in a Day
series. The best approach for this series is from the North. These

December 1 – The RMS Queen Mary is retired. During her
reign on the sea she was a luxury liner, and a battle ship -
carrying troops across the seas. Now the Queen Mary is listed on
the National Register of Historic Places, and is permanently
berthed in Long Beach, California serving as a museum ship and
hotel.
