Geocache Description:

The Canal Du Nivernais is a major waterway running along the entire
Départment de la Nièvre in order to assure a navigable waterway
even when the more or less wild rivers like the Aron are not
navigable either because of too little water or too strong
currents.

The terrain is generally very hilly and therefore, lots of locks
are needed to control the water levels.

This cache is located at the locks at Fleury, close to Chatillon en Bazois.
